Our origins began in the late 1980s when it became apparent that many scholars,
academics and practitioners were becoming frustrated with the limited outlets for their work.
Some academic publishers were tightly controlled by the higher education sector,
while narrowly focused cliques administered others.

Through North American Business Press and North American Academic Press,
we offer writing outlets for authors from all academic and professional backgrounds.
We relocated the base of our operations from Toronto to Atlanta in 2006, and after a significant expansion in 2008, we have continued to move forward with our mission of offering the most responsive publishing services in the industry. We strictly adhere to double-blind review standards. All our advisory board members have terminal degrees and have published in high-level peer-reviewed academic journals.

Our team is headed by Dr. Donald Smith.
